The Reliable Moving Company – Your Friend with a Van | Open 24/7 | Prices Starting from Just £60
Prices Starting from just £60 per hour
Some furniture will not go down the stairs, through the door, or into the van in one piece. Taking it apart and building it back — every screw, cam and dowel where it belongs — is a job in itself. Our furniture dismantling and reassembly service in London handles exactly that, across London, Greater London and nationwide. Fully insured and licensed, seven days a week, 23+ trained movers who do this daily.

It is simple enough: our furniture dismantling service in London takes pieces apart so they can be moved, and our furniture reassembly service in London puts them back together at the other end.
The skill is doing it so it goes back together properly. A bed rebuilt with a missing bolt creaks or collapses. A wardrobe put back square holds its doors true; one rushed does not.
We bag and label the fixings — screws, bolts, cams and dowels — for each item as it comes apart, so nothing is lost between the two ends.

The most common job. Divans, wooden and metal frames and bunk beds rarely fit through a doorway or up a London staircase assembled. Our bed dismantling and reassembly in London takes the frame down, moves it, and rebuilds it solid, not wobbly.
A built wardrobe is often wider than the door it must leave through. Wardrobe dismantling in London is routine for us — freestanding units, sliding-door wardrobes and big PAX-style flat-pack all come apart and go back together.
Flat-pack is built to be assembled once. Moving it whole risks cracking the board, so it is usually safer taken down and rebuilt. We know which pieces travel whole and which do not.
Large dining tables lose their legs to clear doors. Desks, bookcases and modular shelving come apart for the move and go back up at the new place.
Some sofas split into sections or lose their legs to clear a tight turn. Others do not come apart at all — we will tell you which yours is before the day.
Most people book this as part of a move, but plenty do not.
Maybe your new bed will not fit up the stairs and needs building in the room. Maybe you are rearranging and a wardrobe has to come apart to shift. Maybe a piece arrived assembled and will not go where you want.
We take standalone dismantling and reassembly jobs in London too — no removal required. Tell us the item and what you need, and we will quote just that.

We publish no fixed prices, because one bed and a house full of furniture are not the same job.
Your price depends on how many items there are, how complex each is, whether it is part of a move or standalone, and the access. A simple bed frame is quick; a sliding-door wardrobe or modular wall unit takes longer.
As part of a move, dismantling and reassembly is usually included in the moving quote — ask us. Standalone, it is priced on its own.
No hidden fees. You get the price before we start, and London charges like the Congestion Charge or a parking suspension are in the quote up front.
Booking dismantling and reassembly in London takes four steps:
Tell us the addresses, the date and roughly what needs to move.
We price the job from what you have told us. No obligation.

If anything is unclear, we ask. Floors, lifts, parking and awkward items all matter.
A deposit holds your date and crew. The balance is due on the day.

Usually, yes. For most house and flat moves, dismantling and reassembly of beds, wardrobes and desks is part of the service. Ask us to confirm for yours.
Yes. We take standalone jobs — a bed built in the room, a wardrobe taken apart to move, a table rebuilt. No removal needed.
Yes. We take flat-pack apart for a move and rebuild it, and we can also just build or dismantle it as a standalone job. Tell us the item when you book.
Older flat-pack weakens each time it is rebuilt, and we will tell you honestly if a piece is at risk before we start. We keep every fixing with its item, so nothing goes missing at our end.

Yes. If something arrived flat-packed and you would rather not build it, we can assemble it. Tell us the type when you book.
